A Community Message has been issued by the VOORHEES TWP. Monday April 6, 2009 13:49 PM PST 2010 Census Kickoff began April 6, 2009. Address canvassing will be conducted over the next twelve months. Census workers started their canvassing operation April 6, 2009 in local offices across the United States, including here in Voorhees Township. Census workers will knock on residents' doors to verify addresses and inquire about additional living quarters on the premises. This operation should improve both the accuracy and coverage of the final count. Census workers can be identified by the Census Bureau badge they carry. During the address canvassing operation, census workers may ask you to verify a housing structure's address and the existence of any additional living quarters on the property. It is important to know that census workers will never ask for bank or social security information. Do not give any personal information to anyone who says they are from the Census Bureau. Only address and housing information is being collected. All census information collected, including addresses, are confidential and protected by law. Thank you.
